THE 2020 CHEVY CORVETTE STINGRAY – HOW WE’D BUILD OUR DREAM CAR
We can’t wait to see the new 2020 Corvette. Even though it may be a few months before we get one in, we’ve already started thinking about our dream ‘vette, and used Chevy’s online configurator to bring it – almost – to life. Chevy just released the pricing for the Corvette, but we decided to pretend money was no object in our build, though, as promised, Chevy made the base model available for under $60,000.
The first option might be one of the hardest – exterior colors. Chevy’s offering 12 different color options, including a few that are new just for the C8 like Rapid Blue, Accelerate Yellow, and Zeus Bronze Metallic. Our pick? A stealthier take on the classic red Corvette, in Long Beach Red Metallic. We’re sticking to the body color roof, as well, instead of carbon fiber or transparent.
We’re definitely adding in the Z51 performance package, too. It features Michelin PS4 Performance 3 Season Tires, FE 3 Performance Suspension, 345mm front and 350mm rear brake rotors, extra cooling with rear-mounted third radiator, Electronic Limited-Slip Differential, a larger rear spoiler, and a performance exhaust that results in a whopping 495 hp.
Next up in the configurator is wheel choice and caliper colors. We’re going with the Black Trident Spoke wheels, and edge red brake calipers. Shadow Gray accents, Carbon Flash-Painted outside mirrors and spoilers and black side rockers round out the exterior.
Since we’re talking dream car, we’re going all out with the highest trim level – 3LT. We want all the bells and whistles on this one! For the interior, we’re jet-black with red stitching is a no-brainer with our color scheme. We also picked the GT2 leather seats, with red seat belts to match, of course.
There will be a lot of excitement here at Carter Chevrolet once they become available – keep an eye out for announcements and updates! In the meantime, build your dream C8 and share your ideas with us!
